Privacy Policy

How Tablio collects, uses, and protects your information

Last updated: April 19, 2026

1. Introduction

Tablio ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Tablio mobile application. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights over it. By using Tablio, you agree to this policy.

If you have questions, contact us at admin@tablioapp.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address and, optionally, a display name and profile photo. Business owners additionally provide a venue name, address, category, and contact details.

Location data

With your permission, we access your approximate or precise device location to show venues near you. Location is used only while the app is in the foreground and is never stored on our servers without your action (e.g. adding a venue address).

Photos and camera

Business owners may upload photos from their photo library or camera to set cover images, gallery photos, menus, and stories. These images are stored securely in Firebase Cloud Storage and are visible to other users of the app.

Usage data

We collect anonymised usage events (screens visited, features used) to understand how the app is used and improve it. This data cannot be linked back to you individually.

Device identifiers

Our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may collect your device advertising ID and related signals to serve personalised ads. See Section 5 for details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore database and Cloud Storage), hosted in secure Google data centres. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.

Authentication tokens are stored in your device's encrypted secure storage (iOS Secure Enclave / Android Keystore) and never written to plain text.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by contacting admin@tablioapp.com.

5. Third-Party Services

Google Firebase

We use Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Messaging. Firebase is operated by Google LLC. See Firebase Privacy.

Google AdMob

Tablio displays ads through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your advertising ID, IP address, and usage data to show relevant ads. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings (Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising). See Google Privacy Policy.

Algolia

We use Algolia to power venue search. Search queries are transmitted to Algolia's servers. See Algolia Privacy Policy.

6. Location Permission

Tablio asks for location permission when you first use the explore or search features. Granting permission is optional — you can still browse venues manually without it.

Location permission is evaluated each time you log in. If you revoke the permission in device settings, the app will respect that choice immediately.

We never request background location access ("always on").

7. Children's Privacy

Tablio is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email us at admin@tablioapp.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
